Our Mission

To work with relevant stakeholders in the community to implement sustainable development programmes that would improve the wellbeing of women and youths and reduce poverty in the community and by extension the society at large.

About Us

Integrated Initiative for Women and Youths (IIWY) is a Non Governmental & Not-for-Profit Organization registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in Abuja on 4th December 2007 with registration number CAC/IT/NO. 26021. The Organization is supporting over 200 women, 200 youths & 150 children in the areas of Education, Health and Empowerment to improve the wellbeing of women and youth in the society. Integrated Initiatives for Women and Youths (IIWY) commenced activities in 2008 with support to the Mbagor Women to organize themselves into a women development group. IIWY supported the Mbagor Women to hold elections and appoint principal officers to lead the group & provided: the Mbagor Women with relevant skills for self-reliance; opportunity to access small grants to set up micro & small businesses; and supported opportunities to improve their knowledge & build self-confidence. IIWY also supported the Poorest of the Poor (ANWIM) Orphanage to plan & carryout organization development activities & this led to increase performance. In 2019, IIWY commenced support to youths on leadership development programmes, digital literacy & peace building programmes. Below is a summary on activities implemented since 2008.

Our Objectives

The main objective is to improve the wellbeing of women and youths in the community, while the specific objectives are to:

Education

Implement education programmes that would enhance the English proficiency, digital literacy, numeracy skills and peace education for women and youths in the community and increase their life chances;

Health

Implement health programmes that would reduce infant and maternal mortality while providing reproductive health education for women and youths;

Development

Collaborate with other development partners to implement sustainable development programmes in the community;

Governance

Support civic education programmes to improve governance and participation of women and youths in the democratic process in the community.

Empowerment

Carryout empowerment programmes in the community;

Our Strategies

In line with our mission we will:

- Conduct training on literacy, numeracy, ICT and peace education;
- Provide medical out-reach in the community;
- Conduct entrepreneurship training as appropriate;
- Provide small grants to women and youths to start small business;
- Influence policy decisions through advocacy; ,br> - Strengthen systems;
- Carryout advocacy visits and networking to attract community and development partners.

Committed to Transparency
